Product Description

Interdeck contains a fine aggregate and will apply easily on all substrates, providing a slip free finish. The tough polyurethane resin protects decks against everyday wear and tear.

The non-slip deck paint is easy to apply, and you can do so with either a paint brush or roller. There are five different colour options to choose from – cream, grey, sand beige, squall blue or white and once applied there will be a low sheen finish which prevents dazzling reflected sunlight off decks.

COLOUR OPTIONS

International Interdeck available in Cream, Grey, Sand Beige, Squall Blue and White

At what temperature can Interdeck Non Slip Paint be applied?

It is recommended that the boat paint is applied at temperatures between 5C and 35C.

What primer should I use with International Interdeck?

Bare wood – Sand smooth with 80-180 grade paper and then 280 grade paper. You can remove the sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If you’re wiping with a solvent, then allow to dry completely before applying either International Yacht Primer or International Primocon.

Steel - Degrease with a solvent or suitable detergent cleaner. Grit blast to Sa 2½ - near a white metal surface. If grit blasting is not possible, grind the metal surface with 24-36 grit abrasive discs to a uniform, clean, bright metal surface with a 50-75 microns anchor pattern. Use an angle grinder on small areas. Clean thoroughly and allow to dry. Pre-prime using an International primer.

Aluminium - Degrease with a solvent or suitable detergent cleaner. Sand well using 24-120 grade (aluminium compatible) paper. Coarser grades are recommended to achieve optimum adhesion. Clean thoroughly and allow to dry. Pre-prime using an International primer as soon as possible (within 8 hours) as detailed for specific coating systems.

GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) – Degrease with a solvent or suitable detergent cleaner. Sand well using 60-120 grade paper. Clean thoroughly and allow to dry. Pre-prime using an International primer, as detailed for specific coating systems.

Aged/Weathered Gel Coats - Due to the potentially porous nature of aged/weathered gelcoats the risk of solvent/moisture entrapment after painting is much higher than when gelcoat is new. As a result, this entrapment could lead to blistering of the paint film. To reduce the risk of paint film blistering, it is recommended that 3 coats of Interprotect are applied to seal the gelcoat. Interprotect must be overcoated with One UP Primer/Undercoat prior to topcoat application.

Other Notes:

Low sheen finish - prevents dazzling reflected sunlight off decks.
