Adult Buoyancy Aids

Buoyancy aids are not intended as a substitute for
a lifejacket and instead offer floatation but may not turn an
unconscious person face up in the water. They are used mainly by dinghy
sailors, kayakers and canoeists. The average life expectancy of the
jacket is 3 years of use as the foam used in the buoyancy aid does
degrade (especially if used frequently in polluted water).
