Harken Winch Service Kit

It's recommended that you service your boat winches at least once during the season, however you may find you need to service them more frequently if you use your boat heavily. If you race your boat hard, you may want to maintain your winches before every regatta. A great way to keep your winches clean and operating smoothly is by flushing them frequently with fresh water.

Kit Contains:

10 x Pawls.
20 x Springs.
1 x Winch Grease.
1 x Pawl Oil.

Service your boat winch immediately if:
Ratcheting seems sluggish or sticky.
The winch doesn't turn freely.
The winch can be turned in both directions.

Inspect carefully for:
Signs of damage, wear or corrosion on pawls and springs, bearings, gears and splindles. Replace immediately.
Loose or missing deck mounting fasteners.

Depending on the size of your winch, you may need more pawls and springs than contained in this pack.
