Your safety on the water is our biggest priority, and, as sailors ourselves, we know how vital it is to have the right safety equipment on board. That's why all our marine safety equipment has been hand chosen by our expert team and sourced exclusively from leading brands.
Life rafts are a piece of safety equipment you never have to use; but if the worst does happen, and you need to abandon ship, our expert range sourced from leading brands including Crewsaver, Ocean Safety, Seago and Viking will help keep you as safe as possible.
One important piece of advice we have when buying a life raft is regarding size:
If 4 people regularly go out on your boat, but occasionally a couple of friends join you, we strongly advise that purchase a 6 man life raft instead of a 4 man life raft. Why? Because life rafts aren't the most spacious of areas to be as it is, let alone with an extra two people crammed in. Furthermore, (for example) a 10 man life raft will contain more rations and other supplies than an 8 man life raft will.
Often stored within a grab bag, distress flares are a piece of emergency equipment that should be stored in an easy-to-access location that is cool, dry and clearly marked. The use of distress flares is to indicate that you are in difficulty, and to help pinpoint rescuers to your location. Pyrotechnic flares are available in flare packs, suited to where you are sailing, whether that be inshore, coastal or offshore.
LED Distress Flares are a recent innovation, with popular flares such as Ocean Signal's RescueMe LED Distress Flare offering an operational life of up to 6 hours, in comparison with a 60 second burn time offered by a red hand flare.
Whether you're going on a short, leisurely cruise, or crossing the Mediterranean, it's vital you do not leave shore without a life jacket, as it could save your life should the worst happen. We stock a leading range of adult life jackets, Kids Life Jackets, and even life jackets for dogs - plus all the accessories you could possibly need, including harnesses and safety lines, life jacket lights, and life jacket re arming kits.
In a man overboard situation, every second counts; which is why it's vital to have the right equipment close to hand. Our leading range of danbuoys, rescue slings and life buoys will help make retrieving a casualty easier, saving priceless time. Getting back on board is made easier too thanks to our fantastic offering of safety ladders.
Personal Locator Beacons are a potentially life saving piece of safety equipment that help identify the location of a man overboard. Designed to be fitted to life jackets. PLB's will transmit your position to rescuers and (dependent on model) all AIS receivers and chartplotters within the vicinity.
From torches to fire extinguishers to buoyancy aids; for over 30 years we've been selling a huge range of equipment to help you stay safe on board. In that time, we've constantly been refining our range of marine safety equipment, ensuring we only sell the best equipment that the best brands have to offer.
