PLBs & EPIRBs

Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) and Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs) are potentially life-saving pieces of equipment that, in Ocean Signal PLB1's case, are small enough to fit in your pocket.

Personal Locator Beacons are designed for use by an individual, so can be fitted to safety devices such as life jackets, whilst EPIRB's are registered to a boat and are designed to alert search and rescue serves in the event of an emergency.
