International Danboline is a high opacity boat paint that protects bilges, lockers and bulkheads against moisture penetration and wear and tear. The formula will resist oil and fuel spillage and cleans easily. Furthermore, the hard wearing, high opacity bilge and locker paint will ensure excellent covering power.
We've written up a few frequently asked questions that are asked in store for a little extra guidance.Â
Application can take place via paint brush, roller or conventional spray, although spray is recommended for professional use only. 1-2 coats are recommended.
5C – Minimum of 36 hours, maximum of 4 days.
15C - Minimum of 24 hours, maximum of 3 days.
23C – Minimum of 16 hours, maximum of 2 days.
35C – Minimum of 12 hours, maximum of 24 hours.
At 5C – 16 hours.
15C - 8 hours.
23C – 6 hours.
35C – 3 hours.
Approximately 11 metres square per litre.
It is recommended that the substance is applied at temperatures between 5C and 35C.
Bare wood – Prime with International One UP Primer/Undercoat.
Steel – Prime with International Yacht Primer or International Interprotect.
Aluminium - Prime with International Yacht Primer or International Interprotect.
GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) – No priming is necessary, but it’s recommended that you wash the surface down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Then abrade with 180-220 grade paper.
