iWinch - Power Onboard

iWinch is an excellent way to get extra power when working on your boat, plus reduce sail flapping, thus extending the life of the sail. The winch attachment fits most winches available on the market, and is easily mounted on electrical screwdrivers with 13mm shuck. 

A mounted electrical winch will cost you between £2,000 - £3,000 plus installation costs, where-as with a strong electrical screwdriver, you will host your main a lot faster and will feel when the resistance is getting stronger, ensuring you don't break anything. Made in Sweden out of one piece of super anodised aluminium.

When using iWinch, start at a low speed and increase the speed when you feel resistance. When using low/intermediate loads, it's possible to steer the machine with one hand. However, if higher load occurs, you should relieve your hand that controls the speed of the machine by crossing the arms and hold the battery part. Do not overload iWinch to avoid a so called kick-back from the machine to ensure you do not injure yourself, your electrical screwdirver or the iWinch.

Many screwdrivers have multiple gears, learn which gear works the best and in what mode. Your winch will also have different gear, learn which direction works the best. Do not use a low quality electric screwdriver as it may be overloaded. Brushless screwdrivers are more efficient because of no friction losses which will increases battery life, cools better and increases the life of the machine.
